[영어 문장] Stop ing Stop to 차이는?

[The important thing] is never to stop questioning

              (주어)           (동사)

 

-  stop to 동사원형  : ~ 하기 위하여 멈추다(목적을 나타내는 부사적 용법)

   stop ~ ing : ~ 을 그만두다

   He stopped to smoke(담배를 피기 위해 멈추다)

   He stopped smoking(담배 피우는 것을 그만두다)

 

- 동명사만을 목적어로 취하는 타동사 :

enjoy, mind, admit, finish, stop, avoid, consider, postpone, practice, put off, resist, give up, deny

~하는 것을 (동사) 하다

 He enjoys reading a novel

(그는 소설 읽기를 좋아합니다.)

 I don't mind taking the bus

(버스를 타도 상관없어요.)

 Would you mind opening the window?

(창문을 열어 주시겠습니까?)

 He admitted having done wrong

(그는 잘못을 시인했다.)
